Literature Text

1.
There once was an old man from Ha’rford,
Whose children and wife had all scarpered.
But so crafty was he
That a thought came to be:
He’d make a new family from cardboard.

2.
There once was a girl from Bethesda
Who’d rather live somewhere like Leicester.
But with cities at least
Eighty miles to the east,
Gwynedd was sadly much wester.

3.
There was a young man from Llanelli
Who lived in the town of Llanelli.
This poem would be better
Without the Welsh letter,
As nothing quite rhymes with Llanelli.

4.
A woman from Fishguard was miffed;
Her new haircut was tragically kift.
So she won’t be alone
Her best friend’s styled his own:
It’s fluorescent magenta and quiffed.
Some humorous poems inspired by life in Wales (Pembrokeshire in particular). Specifically included the word "kift" which is Pembrokeshire slang for crooked/misshapen. :')

Haha, well done! I live in Anglesey, though I'm not fully Welsh but I still speak Welsh and have lived here for quite a while. Very well done, especially the 3rd one.
